R-Preirresolute Functions Author: C. W. Baker Abstract: A strong form of a preirresolute function, called R-preirresolute, is introduced. It is established that R-preirresolute implies strongly preirresolute and that R-preirresolute functions satisfy a strong form of the closed graph property. Also it shown that R-preirresolute functions are closely related to pre-regularity.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 499 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | On the Schurer-Stancu approximation formula Author: Dan Bărbosu Abstract: PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 499 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | The fastest Krasnoselskij iteration for approximating fixed points of strictly pseudo-contractive mappings Author: Vasile Berinde / Mădălina Berinde Abstract: PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 487 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Coincidence theorems for subadditive and superadditive functions Author: Pal Burai / Arpad Szaz Abstract: We give some necessary and sufficient conditions in order that a quasi-subadditive function should coincide with a quasi-superadditive one. Thus, we can easily prove a straightforward extension of a theorem of Marek Kuczma on the linearity of a subadditive function majorized by a differentiable one.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 475 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Multivalued version of Radon-Nikodym theorem Author: Anca Croitoru Abstract: PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 437 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Commutative modular group algebras Author: Peter Danchev Abstract: The present article discusses recent progress in the answering of very difficult and long-standing classical conjectures, that are, The Direct Factor Problem, The Splitting Problem and The Isomorphism Problem in the theory of commutative group algebras.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 426 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Modern routing techniques for future QoS enabled networks Author: Sanda Dragoș / Radu Dragoș Abstract: Modern technologies such as \emph{mobile agents} are intelligent'' solutions that can be used to achieve efficient QoS routing in the Internet. We present in this article the key architectural features of this paradigm from the routing perspective. The evolution of a mobile agent population dispatched to find optimal routes is also analyzed. Our experimental results show that a high performance level could be achieved with the cost of generating too much control traffic. We present a solution that overcomes this scalability issue while still providing optimal results.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 418 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | A note on partially ordered topological spaces and a special type of lower semicontinuous function Author: S. Ganguly / S. Jana Abstract: $\theta$-closed partial order in a topological space has been studied in details. $\theta^\star$-lower semicontinuity of a function to a hyperspace has been introduced and such functions are compared to the multifunctions. Lastly the $\theta^\star$-lower semicontinuity of some special types of functions is studied.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 461 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Integral operators on certain classes of analytic functions with negative coefficients Author: V. C. Holhoș / Grigore S.Sălăgean Abstract: In this paper integral properties of some analytic functions with negative coefficients from certain classes of functions defined using a differential operator are studied. The obtained results are sharp and they are improvement of some known results.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 443 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | The solution of the thermoelastic equilibrium problem for cylindrical tubes with big torsion angle Author: Mircea Lupu / Florin Isaia Abstract: In this paper, the coupled problem of the thermoelastic equilibrium for cylindrical tubes with big torsion angle is solved. The mathematical model of isotropic elastic cylinders with big torsion angle is also presented. Using this new mathematical model, we actually solve the thermoelasticity problem for cylindrical tubes.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 439 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | On convex feasibility problems Author: Laura Mărușter / Ștefan Mărușter Abstract: In this paper we consider a projection method for convex feasibility problem that is known to converge only weakly. Exploiting a property concerning the intersection of a family of convex closed sets, we present a condition that makes them strongly convergent, without additional assumptions.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 422 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | On the monotonicity of Schurer type polynomials Author: Carmen Muraru Abstract: The paper is a study of a sequence of Schurer type operators. It deduces a representation for the difference of two consecutive terms of the sequence of this type operators, by divided differences. Using this representation we enounces some sufficient conditions for the monotonicity of the sequence of Schurer operators.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 419 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Existence of Nash-Bertrand equilibrium in duopoly games with pollution treatment cost Author: Anton S. Pop Abstract: In this article we shall give a general property to a class of linear and positive operators and then, through particular cases we shall obtain statements verified by the Bernstein, Schurer and Stancu operators.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 516 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | A general common fixed point theorem of Meir and Keeler type for weakly compatible mappings Author: Valeriu Popa Abstract: In this paper, using a combination method used in [3], [20] and [22], the result of [16, Theorem 1] is improved by removing the assumption of continuity, relaxing compatibility to weakly compatibility property and replacing the completeness of the space with a set of four alternative conditions for functions satisfying an implicit relation.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 490 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Some pairs of multivalued operators Author: Alina Sîntămărian Abstract: PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 426 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Experimental Results on Isolated Speech Recognition System Author: Gavril Toderean / Marieta Gâta / Alexandru Căruntu Abstract: In this paper we described the development of Romanian ANN speech recognition system, which uses artificial neural networks. The network, which is composed by a three layer (a Multilayer Perceptron), is trained by conventional Back-propagation algorithm. The ANN speech recognition system based on Mel Frequency Cepstral Coefficients was developed using Matlab toolkit. The system was tested on the 50 isolated word Romanian speech corpus and it was training on a 50 distinct isolated word recognition task. The word recognition accuracy obtained was about 76%.PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 433 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | On $S_3$-actions on spin 4-manifolds Author: Ximin Liu Abstract: PDF | DVI | No. of downloads: 455 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Associate Professor Maria Sanziana POP at her 65th anniversary Author: Vasile Berinde Abstract: PDF | No. of downloads: 178 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Associate Professor Lidia Elena KOZMA at her 60th anniversary Author: Iulian Coroian Abstract: PDF | No. of downloads: 156 Full access PDF | DVI | PS | Associate Professor Istvan Huba Atilla SASS at her 60th anniversary Author: Gheorghe Ardelean Abstract: PDF | No. of downloads: 156 Full access PDF | DVI | PS |
